Good luck to everyone walking and supporting the first KIRKNEWTON BIG WALK 2013 today, starting at 2pm at the Kirknewton Park Car Park (there will be a start and finish line there).
A copy of the route is enclosed.
The weather is due to be sunny, 11 degrees with a slight wind so please wear suitable clothes and footwear.
To ensure safety please adults look after your children at all times, particularly at road crossings. We will provide adults and kids with high visual vests if you are happy to wear one.
Please note there is a 1k and 2k route that heads back to the park for younger children. Any questions on the day just ask.
Once you have finished the walk please head to the Village Hal (from 3pm)l for hot and soft drinks and home baking. There will also be a detailed map of the proposed off road route from the centre of the village to Selm Muir wood for you to look at.
